The Process

History

Brookpace Fine Art is proud to be the first company to have redeveloped and reintroduced Oleography in the early 1990's, and remain the worlds largest and leading manufacturer.

The aim was to create a unique and high quality picture that captures all the colour, craquelure, texture and character of an original painting. With the use of both up-to-date technology and skilled craftsmen, this has been achieved. Each Oleograph is a master-piece in its own right and carefully handfinished to recreate that timeless look and appeal of an original.

The Collection

Our extensive range of images have been carefully selected to suit all tastes and settings and nearly all of the designs are exclusive under copyright to Brookpace Fine Art.

Stretched Canvas or Wooden Panel

As with originals, artists used both canvas stretched over a wooden frame or wooden panels on which to paint. Brookpace Fine Art also supply each Oleograph on either a stretched canvas or wooden panel. The choice is yours.

Sizes

Because of the unique production process we have developed, and unlike nearly all other reproductions, each picture is available in any of our six standard sizes, from 7" x 5" (18cm x 13cm) to 40" x 30" (102cm x 76cm), as indicated in the size chart shown on the 'How To Order' page. In addition to this we offer the 'Lucy Hannah Collection' available in sizes 12.5" x 5" (13cm x 32cm) and 20" x 8" (20cm x 51cm).

Frames

Each Oleograph can be supplied either framed or unframed. Our collection ranges from simple mouldings to ornate swepts. Please use our framing functionality, designed to make selection easy.

Special Commissions

A special commission service is available, allowing customers to provide their own images from which we can make Oleographs, even if only a single reproduction is required.

Prices

Prices vary depending on size, if the picture is on canvas or panel, framed or unframed.
